Are You Interested in a Walt Disney World Internship?

Learn More about the Walt Disney World College Program . . .

1.    Who is eligible to apply?

Students must be currently enrolled in a college/university and have completed at least one semester.  Students must be in good academic standing (2.0 or higher).

2.    Is the WALT DISNEY WORLD college program limited to certain 
       majors?

All majors are considered for the program, including those students enrolled in occupational programs.  Five majors that best apply to the positions are:  Hospitality or Hotel/Restaurant Management, Business, Communications, Theater/Drama and Recreation.

3.    When will the recruiter be visiting and how do I apply?

A Walt Disney World Recruiter will be back on IVCC’s campus in the Fall  of 2004, and will conduct an interactive and informational presentation.  Students are required to attend this presentation to be granted an interview, which will be scheduled for the same day. Students can obtain and complete an application form during the interview, or may complete the application online at http://wdwcollegeprogram.com and bring a hard copy of the application to the presentation.

4.    When will the internship be scheduled if I am accepted?  

Disney will be recruiting for their Fall 2004 program and 
their Fall Advantage 2004 program.

5.    Can I earn college credit?

You may take courses at Walt Disney World and participate in a 
Cooperative Work Study Education program to earn college credit. Please note that this college credit may not be transferable, but it is of great benefit in documenting your Disney experience and taking advantage of exciting learning opportunities!

6.    How do I get additional information?

It is extremely important that you visit the website at wdwcollegeprogram.com and review all of the information that is presented.  Also, come to the Career  Center and speak with Sharon Barthelemy, Career Services Coordinator and Advisor.  

FOLLOW THIS CHECKLIST:

  • Visit wdwcollegeprogram.com and review all the information directed to students.
  •  Fill out an application on-line or plan to complete an application during the formal presentation.
  •  Print a copy your application if you complete it on-line and bring it to the presentation.
  • Attend the formal presentation in the Fall of 2004.
  •  If you would like to interview with Walt Disney World for an internship role, plan to schedule an interview time for the Spring presentation.
