A group of twelve students traveled to Orlando to the National American Chemical Society Meeting. The students were involved in one poster presentations and a presentation of "Kitchen Chemistry" demonstrations. The students, along with advisor Bob Byrne, flew to Orlando on a Friday afternoon and returned the following Tuesday. At the meeting, the students attended various sessions and had an opportunity to talk with students from other schools as well as representatives from industry. The IVCC SAACS received an Outstanding Award for all of the work done during the 2000-2001 school year.
This year students will travel to the National Meeting in New Orleans on March 20-25. The students will again be presenting a poster.
