Adjunct Faculty Email Accounts

Change E-mail Password

NOTE: Passwords can only be changed on campus.

1. Click Start on the task bar.

2. Run

3. Type Telnet waldo

4. Type your user name (first letter of first name, full last name up to 8

characters)

5. Type your existing password=SSN

6. At the <user/home/faculty/userID>, type passwd and then press enter

7. Follow the prompts for typing your old password and then type your new

password, press enter, and then retype the new password.

8. At the command line, type exit

9. Close out of Telnet (click on the X in the window)

Setup E-mail Account

1. Open browser, Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator

2. Type waldo.ivcc.edu in the address bar

(do not type the http://www)

3. Type your user name: (first letter of first name, full last name up to 8  characters)

4. Type your password (the one you created in Telnet)

5. Click the login button

6. (Preferences Page) Type Full name, first and last

7. (Preferences Page) Type in your email address; i.e

username@waldo.ivcc.edu (username is (first letter of first name, full last name up to 8 characters)

8. (Preferences Page) Signature file: type your full name, it will be printed at the end of every message

9. Click the Update Preferences button

Checking E-mail

1. Open browser, Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator

2. Type waldo.ivcc.edu in the address bar

(do not type the http://www)

3. Type your user name: (first letter of first name, full last name up to 8 characters)

4. Type your password: (the one you created in Telnet)

5. Click the login button

Sending E-mail

1. Click Compose button

2. Type in complete address of the e-mail message (i.e.

usersername@waldo.ivcc.edu, then tab to subject line.

3. Type in a subject in the subject line (every good e-mail message has a

subject)

4. Tab to message area and type your message.

5. When you are finished with the message, Click the Send E-mail button

above the message area

Sending Attachments

1. Compose a message

2. When finished, scroll to the bottom of the compose window.

3. Click the Browse button

4. Locate and select the desired attachment file.

5. A second file can be attached, repeat steps 1-4 in the second text box.
