ACT Test Prep
Prepare yourself for the ACT College Aptitude Test. You will learn general test-taking skills, answering strategies for handling each type of question, time restraints, and the scoring system. This class is designed to coach you to do your best on the Act and demystify college admission testing. Preparing for the ACT will not produce perfect scores, but it will improve your score by reducing “test anxiety” that can limit your performance during the exam. Please bring a pen/pencil and notepaper to class. This course meets a total of two sessions. A textbook “CliffsNotes ACT Cram Plan, 2nd edition” is included in the price of this course. Seating is limited for this class. This year, two classes have been scheduled. Please see below for

Survival 4 Kids: Level 1 [Grades 4-8]
Learn basic Native American hunting skills, compass and orienteering, and survival skills including fire building, shelters, and the basics of survival. This class will take place both in the classroom and outdoors. Students registered for this class should be currently enrolled in grades 4-8. Please come dressed for the weather, appropriate for being outdoors. Students should bring bottled water.

Survival 4 Kids: Level 2 [Grades 4-8]
In this more advanced survival class, we will expand on our Native American education, which will include learning how to make a bow-drill fire and the usage of different tools; expand on our ability to build shelters; learn about tracking; and explore water purification techniques. We will finish out our day playing some games and testing out our knowledge. Pre-requisite: Students registered for this class should have completed Survival Skills for Kids [Level 1] prior to taking this class. Please come dressed for the weather, appropriate for being outdoors. Students should bring bottled water.
