IVCC Jazz Ensemble
Have you ever wanted to participate in a jazz ensemble? This course provides a study of style and techniques in the jazz idiom. The course is open to all wind instrument players as well as piano, guitar, bass and drum set players. Students will also participate in public performances throughout the semester. Prerequisite: Performance ability on a wind instrument, piano, guitar, bass or drum set. Students must own their own instrument. Late enrollments accepted.

You Can Uke
Catch the ukulele wave. It's a simple instrument and a wonderful way to relax with friends on a porch or in your backyard. The ukulele’s popularity comes from its ease to learn and play. This course is designed to get you up and strumming. Course instruction covers basic chords and strums, along with open jamming. Please trim long finger nails before class. Course fee includes materials valued at $47 including a ukulele, pitch pipe, and song book. Registration deadline for this class is: March 17.

Instant Guitar for Hopelessly Busy People

If you can find middle C and know the meaning of “Every Good Boy Does Fine”, you already know enough to register for this class with confidence. There is a $28 lab fee payable to the instructor in class for your spiral textbook and audio CD for practice at home.
