Learn which plants put on their best show in the fall and how you can incorporate them into your existing landscape. Find out how to transition from the end of summer to fall by adding seasonal color and visual excitement to your yard. Your instructor Stephanie Stacy is the owner of Garden’s Gate Garden Center and Landscape Company located in Ottawa. She holds two horticulture degrees and has extensive experience in landscape design and greenhouse growing. She has been in the green industry since 1998.

Learn time and labor saving shortcuts, how to prepare your garden for winter and how to ease into a spectacular spring. Garden smarter, not harder! Go easy on your back and have time to enjoy fall’s splendor. Learn what, when and how to mulch, dig up, divide, fertilize, bring indoors, plant, protect, prune and plan for next spring. Your instructor Darlene Ray has been gardening since she was 10 years old – she is a Master Gardener and a member of the Garden Writer’s Association.

Creating a Winter Container Arrangement
Learn how to create show stopping outdoor winter container arrangements for your home. Use of greenery and other natural plant materials will be highlighted. Optional: Students interested in creating their own outdoor container to bring home after class should bring an outdoor container to class. A material fee is payable to the instructor at class and will be based on supplies used in your container. Prices will vary based on materials selected.
