In its first two seasons under head coach Pat Cinotte, the IVCC women’s basketball team has:
- 2 National Junior College Athletic Association tournament appearances
- 2 Region IV championships
- 1 Region IV Runner-up
- 103 wins and just 29 losses
- A team GPA of 3.0 (both seasons) and several NJCAA and conference Academic All-Americans
- An Arrowhead Conference co-championship in 2010-11
- A two-time NJCAA Division II All-American in Shannon Washington
- A NJCAA Division II All-American in Arnisha Thomas
- 2 players represented in the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame “Ring of Honor” in Knoxville
- A two-time Region IV Tournament MVP in Washington
- Numerous players named to all-region and all-conference teams
- Numerous players continuing on to four-year colleges to continue academic and/or playing careers
Cinotte himself has received significant honors including:
- Two-time Region IV Coach of the Year
- Two-time Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Coach of the Year
- Arrowhead Conference Co-Coach of the Year (2011)
Cinotte came to IVCC in 2009 after a highly successful tenure as coach of the Hall High School girls’ basketball team. He took the Spring Valley school to its first and only girls’ basketball state tournament appearance.
