The Adult Education program at Illinois Valley Community College provides a partnership within the community to
teach and guide a diverse population of adult learners as they identify
and reach their personal goals.

Adult Basic Education ABE: Classes to improve reading, math and writing skills.
English as a Second Language ESL: Designed to help non-native speakers of the English language who reside within the district.
General Educational Development GED: Any adult 16 or older who hasnt received a high school diploma or GED certificate.

GED Test: The GED test is given on a monthly basis at Illinois Valley Community College.

I-READ Literacy Program:
One-on-one tutoring or small group tutoring for students 16 or older who are out of school
and need to improve language or math skills.

programs to bring a variety of services to IVCC district residents and
students.
2007 GED Graduation
Each year, the Adult Education program at IVCC holds a graduation ceremony for GED graduates, family and friends.
