The IVCC Adult Education Program Mission Statement:The Adult Education program at Illinois
Valley Community College provides a partnership within the community to
teach and guide a diverse population of adult learners as they identify
and reach their personal goals.
ADULT EDUCATION CLASS REGISTRATION INFORMATION: All new and returning students are required to attend a registration
session before returning to or joining a class. Students interested in spring semester classes (starting January 17, 2017) should call the numbers below before Dec. 21, 2016.
- High School
Equivalency (HSE) seekers and Adult Basic Education (ABE) students should call Cindy at 815-224-0358.
- Students whose
primary language is not English and who are interested in
English Language Acquisition (ELA) classes should call Sara (English or Español) at 815-224-0355.
All class offerings and services are subject to change or cancellation.
OFFICE STAFF HOURS AND LOCATION: Adult Education offers free Adult Basic Education (ABE) and High School Equivalency (HSE)
preparation classes (traditional and online), English Language Acquisition (ELA) classes and citizenship
information at the IVCC Oglesby and Ottawa campuses. The
Adult Education office is located in the IVCC Peter
Miller Community Technology Center (CTC Room 220), 815 North Orlando Smith Road, Oglesby, IL. For
