Limited Admissions Programs

IVCC is proud to be an open-admissions college. However, there are several programs that are limited admissions and require students go through an application and selection process to be admitted into these programs.

 

Associate in Applied Science in Nursing

This degree is designed for students interested in becoming Registered Nurses (RNs) upon completion of the curriculum and successful completion of the NCLEX-PN exam. The nursing curriculum is completed in 2 years after admission to the program. Nursing Information Sessions are presented regularly and are essential for helping students understand the requirements and the procedures for being admitted to the nursing program. Certificate in Practical Nursing

This certificate is designed for students interested in becoming Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) upon completion of the curriculum and successful completion of the NCLEX-PN exam. The nursing curriculum is completed in 3 semesters after admission to the program. Nursing Information Sessions are presented regularly and are essential for helping students understand the requirements and the procedures for being admitted to the nursing program. Certificate in Dental Assisting

This certificate is designed for students interested in becoming Dental Assistants. The program is offered both full-time and part-time. Application information, including admission requirements, can be found on the Dental website or by contacting Cythia Reif at (815) 224-0359.

Associate in Applied Science in Therapeutic Massage

This degree is designed for students wishing to become a Massage Therapist upon completion of the degree or to expand the scope of practice of the certificate program. To become licensed in the state of Illinois, students must also successfully complete the National Certification Exam in Therapeutic Massage. The program is able to be completed either part-time or full-time.
