The deadline to order a cap and gown has passed. We have a limited number of extra gowns available. Contact Linda in the Counseling Center at 815-224-0361 to get your name on the list for an extra gown if you want to participate.
Commencement refers to the ceremony that celebrates the completion of your educational journey at IVCC. Participation in the commencement ceremony is optional and is free for all participants.
This is different than graduation, which signals the completion of the requirements for the degree or certificate. Students must apply for graduation in order to have the degree or certificate noted on the official transcript.
Participant Information/Dates to Remember
All students who have graduated in August 2012 or December 2012,
as well as those who will graduate in May 2013 will be invited to participate
in Commencement 2013. Students who have 1 or 2 classes to complete in the
summer are eligible to walk in commencement if they apply for Graduation
no later than February 15th.
Cap and gown measurements can also be submitted online through the IVCC-Jostens link by April 1 to guarantee a cap and gown for the ceremony.
Commencement will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 2:30
p.m. in the IVCC Gymnasium.
