Purposes of the Office of Academic Affairs:

  • provide leadership to ensure the highest quality of instructional programs
  • create and sustain an environment that enhances teaching and learning
  • continually improve student learning and performance

Academic Affairs is the central administrative office with responsibility for curriculum and academic policy development, implementation and evaluation. This includes:

  • occupational and transfer programs
  • continuing education
  • adult education
  • developmental/remedial education
  • instructional technology
  • academic fiscal management
  • evaluation of academic programs
  • faculty development
  • assessment of student learning.
