Research
Paper
| The research paper paper will be combine the
gender analysis and literary analysis, and should be comparative and persuasive. You will
either agree or disagree with a historic opinion of women, supporting it or rejecting
it by
reference to woman's writings or you will prove that women can be as great in literary
pursuits as men or that they cannot.
You should use at least one primary source--it may be something covered on the syllabus but it need not be, either--and four supporting secondary sources. At least two of these supporting sources should be scholarly in nature, coming from an academic book, usually published by a university press and written by a college professor, or from a scholarly journal, where articles (again written by college professors) are refereed anonymously by a group of their peers. The length of these papers may vary, but six pages, not inclusive of the Works Cited, would probably be the minimum. If you have questions, ask through e-mail or WebBoard. You may attach your completed paper in WebBoard or you may e-mail or snail mail it to me. |
